A former award-winning teacher, Coach Sheeba knows how to connect to students at a core level and understands the challenges they face on a daily basis. She knows first-hand how students can become overwhelmed with assignments, deadlines, college applications, graduations, projects, jobs and social obligations. Thus, once she got certified as a Life & Career Coach, Sheeba decided to research the application of coaching within academia. She came upon John Williams of Top Ten Skills and decided to get certified in the Academic Life Coaching Program (ALC) that was being offered for Middle and High School students. ALC is a results-oriented program that has been tried and tested in the classroom and with thousands of students.
The ALC program is comprised of 4 cornerstones: Academic Systems, Personal Fluency, Leadership & College, and Support Team. This program is covered within 10-12 sessions with the option to continue. The following is an outline of the sessions:
Academic Systems: The creation of sustainable systems that allow for the achievement of desired grades without stress.

Personal Fluency: An increased awareness for students to build fluency with their thoughts, emotions and habits.

Leadership & College: The development of personal leadership that naturally leads to the creation of an outstanding college application.

- Session Eight: Identifying Your Passions
- Session Nine: Mission Statements & Leadership Projects
- Session Ten: Leadership Style
Support Team: An important cornerstone weaved throughout the whole program-the conscious effort on behalf of the student in the design of their support team.
